So, I was going to write a thoughtful post, redefining the categories of science nerd, science fiction geek, fangirl and skeptic. It was going to be excellent, a key insight into how us gals find the right labels to define what is on the outside a seemingly male dominated culture. And how that culture might be changing.
I mean, I know plenty of women who watch Brian Cox’s Wonders of the Universe on the BBC who take absolutely no interest in the science. Then I started considering some of my friends who normally hate fantasy/sci-fi, but for some reason are still gripped by Dr Who…
