Five minutes of the upcoming DEVO documentary.
Are We Not Men?
A superb preview for what will probably be a must-see film.
This was a Kickstarter project that reached its goals.

Produced in cooperation with DEVO, this authorized feature-length documentary has been in development for 3 years. Although the band has been notoriously secretive for nearly 4 decades, they granted us unprecedented full-access to their personal inner-workings and daily lives while on the road, backstage, and at home. Featuring new interviews with contemporaries (Iggy Pop), and fans (Dave Grohl, Tony Hawk), the official film reveals the truth about this important and misunderstood band. From their mysterious origins during the 1970 Kent State shootings to their latest album and tours, this film tells the funny and fascinating story of de-evolution.

I have a sad–the first quickie is an infinite loop back to this post. I must break the cycle!!
Note: the “paraskavedekatriaphobia” link appears to be, uh, mislinked.
Hey kids- thanks for your vigilance. I fixed the broken link. Enjoy!
Thanks for the Nicolas Collins link! I first heard Tobabo Fonio in the early 1990s when I picked up his CD “It was a Dark and Stormy Night”. I would have loved to have seen a video of his performance back then.
It’s amazing how things like this re-emerge and get shared, as disk space and bandwidth become more and more available!
To those who appreciated the Collins video, I would recommend his CD “It was a Dark and Stormy Night”. The other two works on there are “Broken Light”, a piece for string quartet and hot-wired CD player (the latter is made to skip, in effect turning it into a semi-random sample looper), and the title track, which is an odd bit of music that is almost closer to being a theater performance, mixing music with quotes from fiction, nonfiction, and the classic campfire joke.
