Emoticons are the best shorthand we have for clarifying emotion in texts : )
However they have branched far beyond simple feelings to become a minialist art form unto themselves ^..^
We recently had cause to need an emoticon to represent table flipping anger. We came up with these

I think there is a great need for an emoticon fo the "drinky drinky" hand motion. I do not know what this emoticon is, but it is clearly the most important emoticon of our time.

aw man 🙁 there was a guy I played the videogame Glitch with, who used that table-flipping emoticon as his username.
