Rumor has it, a whole lot of funding is going to disappear this coming week as NASA feels the effects of huge budget cuts due to sequestration. Hardest hit will be programs designed for outreach and public science communication. It may be up to us, as artists and civilians, to lend a hand and help find private funding and to disseminate the information discovered by scientists in the field of astronomy and astrophysics. Everyone will know how bad the cuts are by the end of the week. I’ve already started thinking about ways to use my art to raise awareness. I hope you will help think of ways to help too.
