As many of you know the word, snowflake has been co-opted by the neo-nazi Trump fans and used as an insult towards people they don’t like. The idea they try to promote with this insult is that anyone who is liberal or democratic or progressive thinks they are “special” and they need or think they deserve special treatment, like a snowflake. Also, that they are fragile. It’s like calling someone “cupcake” as a derogatory name that is meant to make the aggressor seem strong and their target weak. The irony is that while the term “special snowflake” has been around for years as a lightweight insult, what these white-supremacists using the word now don’t seem to know is that “snowflake” was a word also used to make fun of white people. But white supremacists dont bother with history, or understanding culture, or reading, or facts or empathy, so they think they are being super creative. A friend online who has been called a snowflake repeatedly by Trump supporters asked me to make a design with a snowflake that reminds everyone that a lot of snowflakes together can form quite a dangerous storm. Together we can bring winter sooner than expected.

Enjoy and feel free to print this at home or pass it around online.

Stay strong.
