Zen Water Illusion

From Heath:

I studied ripple patterns in water and was taken
by the interference patterns, and when asked to create a “zen garden”
style wall sculpture, I came up with this:

The fun fact here is that the ripple effect exists only in your mind,
by taking advantage of Gestalt psychology… simple flat planes with
curved edges cut into them combine in the brain, following the
patterns, making whole ripples out of these discrete parts.
