RAPTURE UPDATE: Harold Camping: Copy-Cat of Millerites. Box Brown: Genius!

So for those of you who don’t know, Harold Camping, who predicted all this Rapture nonsense that did not happen, is now changing his prediction. Yep, it only took him two days to come up with this gem. As reported by the Associated Press:

Saturday was “an invisible judgment day” in which a spiritual judgment took place, he said. But the timing and the structure is the same as it has always been, he said. “We’ve always said May 21 was the day, but we didn’t understand altogether the spiritual meaning,” he said. “May 21 is the day that Christ came and put the world under judgment.”

Now Camping says that Judgment Day actually will come on Oct. 21. When I mentioned this on twitter, Box Brown directed me to something very interesting.

Harold Camping is following almost to the letter the path of the leader of the Millerites, William Miller. Box Brown had already drawn a comic that leads you along the path of the Millerites.
Seriously, it’s almost exactly the same story just with a different guy. When will people learn?

When I told Box that Camping was nothing more that a copy-cat he replied,

“He’s still got a funny voice. No one can take that away from him.”

So true, Box. So very true.
