Nolite te bastardes carborundorum

I just recently finished reading The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. It’s a fantastic dystopian novel about what happens in America when an extreme right movement takes over the country and women lose all of their rights. Sound earily familiar?  I highly recommend the book if you haven’t read it.

“Nolite te bastardes carborundorum” is a saying found carved in a room by the main character of the book. It translates to “don’t let the bastards grind you down.” Words we can all appreciate right now.
