Happy New Year, dear readers! I hope you have gotten past your hangovers and tiredness by now. I mean it’s been two days. Get it together. So let’s kick off 2015 with some smashing art and science!

    Though to be clear (the website doesn’t explicitly note this), none of these things will enter the public domain in the US. In fact no published works will be entering the public domain in the US for another 4 years. There’s a nice article at https://web.law.duke.edu/cspd/publicdomainday that goes into more detail.

  2. @breadbox. Yeah, I originally had some wording in the Quickie about that, but I kept stating it badly and I was getting sleepy. So my wording just kept getting worse.
    I believe the link you posted is in that article, but thanks for putting a note about it here in the comments 🙂
