Mad Quickies: New Kate Beaton, New Subway Station, New Pics From The ISS and More!

Hey kids! It’s yr old pal Brian here, reporting from the front lines of the Art Wars… Actually there’s no such thing as the Art Wars. Instead, please enjoy these mid-week Quickies.

GIF of the Week – Right off the bat, I want you to see and love this GIF that makes me wish this was a real art exhibition – Waiting For the Art to Load.

I’m on a kinetic sculpture kick lately, so please enjoy these wooden, kinetic sculptures by David C Roy. They mooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeee.

I spent a good 10 – 15 minutes going loopy over astronaut Scott Kelly’s photos from the ISS. I never get bored with pics from orbit.

Here’s something for me – The MTA here in New York City has opened the first new subway station in over 25 years. I haven’t been there yet, but there’s a gorgeous domed mosaic and I should probably go visit while it’s still clean and shiny.

“Hey Brian, are there tips on how to become a solar storm survivalist floating around the internet?” Yes. Yes there are.

    Gah, damn!

Love it all but that “waiting for the art to load” GIF is pure genius. And should be an exhibition. Please to make it so.
