  1. I couldn’t speak to the twinkie recipe, but the Sno-ball cake is PHAIL. Truth be told, actual Sno-balls have been PHAIL for years since they changed the recipe a goodly number of years back. The recent marshmallow was the color of infected flesh and the texture was too mushy.

    Back in the day, a stoned person could peel the marshmallow layer off the cake and pop it inside out. How could you hope to do this when the marshmallow layer is all marshmallow fluff?

    Also, if you use real chocolate, neither Sno-balls nor the cupcake nor any other Hostess or Drake (Ring Dings, Funny Bones, Yodels, Devil Dogs) treat will taste authentic. Better you should go the Lucy Van Pelt route and melt brown crayons for the color.

  2. I really wish they’d include a photo of the guy to see how accurate the facial reconstruction was — I find that part way more interesting than the skull replica.
