Mad Art Cast and Espresso

Coffee.

It is arguably one of the most important elements in art.

For centuries visual artists and other creators have gathered around chocolatey brown cups of the invigorating beverage to help them find inspiration and help them get through those long nights when deadlines loom. Writers, painters, dancers, actors, all forms of inventors and scientists alike have often reaped the benefit of this stimulating brew.

But can you get a decent cup of java in space? That might not be a question you ask yourself often, but it might be a question you would ask if you were an astronaut.

Luckily, Italy has taken this burning question and provided an an easy to swallow answer with the very first espresso machine in space! Waking up on the International Space Station is about to get just a little bit more like home.

So why not take a coffee break with us and tune in for one of our “Quickie episodes” which is a short episode- where the gang discusses coffee in space. Surely you have 10 minutes to spare? Just enough time to blissfully slurp down a delicious cup.
