Cesar Del Valle is an illustrator of entirely too much skill for my liking. His drawings are so carefully rendered that it is the characters within that seem to have become bored with their meager two dimensional existence and are striking out into our world. I saw this animated music video and got kind of excited since a) it is stop motion and cutout animation, which is like catnip to me, b) it uses medical imagery, and c) the little girl reminded me of Henry Darger’s paintings and Alice in Wonderland.
