Mad Quickies

Mad Quickies: Luxury Treehouses, The Trix Rabbit Tricks Us All, Moon Lanterns and Way More!

Today is the first day of Autumn in the northern hemisphere. It’s my favorite season and all I want to do is go hiking in the woods. But I live in Brooklyn and have no car. Does anyone want to loan me their car so I can go hiking? Oh, sorry. I got sidetracked. Here’s the mid-week Quickies you requested.

Guess what? Thanks to the efforts of MAL-er Courtney, we have a Tumblr now. Check it out for Mad Art Lab Tumblr-y things that you don’t see on this blog.

The Trix rabbit looks down upon you. No, not in a “holier-than-thou” way (or maybe he does?) but in a “this will sell more cereal to kids” way. -Via Critical Dragon

It’s calendar time already? Yup. And this calendar features… YOUR NEURONS. Well, not your neurons but cute, cartoon neurons. Anyway, buy it. – Also via Critical Dragon

How many of these gorgeous, moon-like lanterns will you buy for me? I know I’ve already asked to borrow your car but I really want some of these too. Thank you.

This is beautiful and sort-of scary – A new type of mapping shows the transmission of pathogens between species. Now go kiss your cat.

My dad built a treehouse for me and my brother when we were little. But this is a whole different kind of treehouse. Luxury treehouses. In addition to borrowing your car and gifting me a moon-shaped lantern, I would also like you to purchase me a vacation in a luxury treehouse. LOOK AT ALL I DO FOR YOU AFTER ALL. (video below).

Can you even believe these things?
