Darryl Cunningham Does Darwin

Evolution is a tricky subject. Even people who accept it sometimes don’t have all the facts down, and that makes it hard to intellectually arm oneself against those who would have schools scrap it for religious dogma. Anything that can make this very complex theory clearer is always a good thing.

Darryl Cunningham has done just that. Readers of this blog might remember Box Brown’s interview of him a few months ago, when he had just come out with his new book, Psychiatric Tales. Darryl has now set his sights on the harder sciences with Science Stories, set to come out next spring.

He recently posted a chapter from this book about evolution. In 23 pages, he succeeds in clearly explaining evolutionary ancestry, selection, and DNA while refuting common arguments such as it being “just a theory” and the complex evolution of the eye. You should definitely check it out.
