AI: Heavy

I’m going a little off the rails today. Things have been a bit heavy lately, in the blog-o-verse and in life. And so in an effort to brighten up the world a bit, I have a request:

Tell me about something awesome that’s happened to you recently. Put up a link to a project or artwork you’re working on that has you doing a jig, or an animated GIF that had you rolling on the floor. Bonus points for videos of baby animals falling off of things.

The ART Inquisition (or AI) is a question posed to you, the Mad Art Lab community. Look for it to appear Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 3pm ET.

  1. I was asked to moderate a panel at Dragon•Con on art and skepticism and science. Also, I get to go to New Orleans for Halloween and CSI-Con.
And I get to make Surlies for Astronomy Cast.
    Life is swell.

  2. Out of the blue, a skeptic in another city who likes my little podcast segment on Skepticality, sent me a nice microphone, cable and adapter box to connect it to my computer. It arrived today. I’m very excited to try it out.

    Skeptics are awesome.

At SDCC a little kid got lost and freaked out, until he saw the Flash and Wonder Woman (cosplayers), and went to them for help. Cutest thing ever, and check out the biceps on Wonder Woman.*

*One of my biggest complaints is that live action Wonder Womans (Wonder Women?) very rarely look like they could kick ass.

  4. I saved the world and am planning on doing it again, remotely in a few weeks.

My husband just got a huge promotion.

I watched a YouTube video of a friend I adore eating cupcakes.

I’m launching a second huge project for the little organization I founded last year.

    I have gin.

  5. Oh, also, the confluence of two of my most favorite things happened: I filled up a notebook AND used all the ink in a pen.

Don’t judge, it’s the little things that matter. And this matters because it means I’ve been writing enough to do both.

  6. “used all the ink in a pen”

word!, I use one pen for all my revision and exams of my last year of university. It died on the last sentence of my last exam paper ever! best day every lmao.

  7. Holy moley! Everyone has such great stories. Not that I ever really doubt it (too much), but people are pretty great.
