Random Acts of Surly Art
I know I have been pretty quiet on this blog as of late but that’s just because I have been busy raising those cold-hard-cash-monies for grants to send women to TAM. For any of you following that, I have, as of today, raised enough money to send 22 women to the event. Not too shabby! I am wrapping up that program, so soon I will have more free time to post my wacky art projects on ye ol’ MAL blog. But for now I offer you some random photos of stuff that I have been diligently working on.
A new spacey Day of the Dead Skull and an ammonite design with melted glass-glaze.
I particularly to look forward to seeing men wear this design!
This will be Jupiter and 4 moons. I will paint in the gassy look of the planet later.
No wire hangers. Keep abortion safe and legal.
This “work in progress” is the typical look of my workspace as I try to stock up for the conferences I will be attending in the coming months.

What people might not realize is how many projects you’re actively involved in—not just the TAM grants, which by itself is a crazy amazing thing. Add to that how much herding of us catz you do behind the scenes here, its own full-time job. Well, it’s pretty boggling.
Also, I’m so jazzed to see the new art you’ve been doing! I do love it all. The no-wire-hangers glaze is gorgeous and the skulls and ammonite pieces kick serious ass. What fascinates me the most, though, is your work’s evolutionary arc.
